Von Schmidt, who at one time worked as a cowboy, was a well-known magazine illustrator and did the illustrations for a deluxe edition of Willa Cather's "Death Come For The Archbishop." He was a founding faculty member for the Famous Artists School and was awarded the first gold medal by the trustees of the National Cowboy Hall of Fame in 1968. Very Good condtion. $175.00.
