BALLOU'S PICTORIAL. NEW JERSEY SCENES. An original, 10.5-inch by 15-inch front cover from the August 2, 1856 issue of Ballou's Pictorial. The top portion of the page shows a harbor scene in Boston, where the newspaper was printed. The lower half depicts several scenes: the New Jersey state seal, a cider mill, a group of young people picking apples with an early locomotive in the distance, and an Indian tribal scene with a medicine man addressing tribe members. Very Good (lower corner lacking but can be matted out- does not affect any images). $50.00.
