NY: Simon & Schuster, 1961. Item #55680
8vo., light-blue cloth in earliest dust jacket; 443 pages with red top stain. First Edition, first printing of Heller's most famous and iconic novel. [Bruccoli & Bucker A1.1a]. Only 4,000 copies were published in the first printing. Signed presentation from Heller on the front endpaper. I, personally, obtained this presentation for a friend and early supporter of my book business during a radio interview with Heller in New York City in 1984. With the photograph of Heller on the rear cover of the dust jacket. Very Good (few minor dings & some faint discoloration rear cover; contents clean & tight with very minor tanning to the endpapers); minor wear (two short, clean tears; price-clipped) d/j. A nice copy!
