Margaret Armstrong designed this binding, which is very similar to the binding on the first edition, issued in hardcover. This binding, while as cited by Armstrong, has the initials "SH" on the front cover. A scarce binding for this title, I have found no other. Armstrong designed most of Reed's book covers. 8vo., brown limp-leather, stamped in gilt (top edge gilt, patterned satin endpapers); 393 pages. Item #58062
Very Good (covers bright, a 1906 non-authorial ink presentation on a front blank page; about one-third of the pages have light damp-staining; few very tiny tears or minor nicks to edge of covers). A scarce copy in this binding!
