Take a look- have fun!! Don Stine; Proprietor

Founded by Don Stine in May, 1977, Antic Hay Books, based in Asbury Park, NJ, has gone through various changes over the years. Originally an in-home business specializing in first editions, Antic Hay Books expanded and eventually rented a small storefront in Ocean Grove and then became one of the first major businesses to move into then-struggling and abandoned downtown Asbury Park in 1999.

The business, which is a member of the ABAA, ILAB and IOBA, remained in Asbury Park, at two separate locations, until 2007- offering everything from cheap paperbacks to rare books.

The store has also held book or CD signings for local authors and music stars, like Suzie Tyrell, Clarence Clemons, and Bruce Springsteen- who did his first and, thus-far, only book signing at Antic Hay Books in 2004.

Antic Hay Books has handled everything from inexpensive paperbacks to books signed Ernest Hemingway, F. Scott Fitzgerald, John Steinbeck, Henry David Thoreau and Edgar Allan Poe. The business has developed special collections and private libraries, also placing author collections in academic institutions.

Antic Hay Books also has convenient access to all New York, Philadelphia and Washington, DC auctions.

Antic Hay Books is now a home-based business specializing in signed and association copy books. And, if you are looking for a book- let me see if I can help you. So please, browse through the Antic Hay Books inventory, I am always happy to discuss any book. Enjoy!
