Typed Letter Signed from Taylor (postcard size) tipped to the front endpaper, to Marcy Crutcher of Greenwich, Ct. & dated Feb. 15, 1973. Taylor thanks Marcy for her nice letter praising the book, adding that she hopes to see her at Easter. "I can't tell you what a morale builder your letter was!" Taylor writes that she looks forward to meeting Crutcher's 2-year-old, adding that she recently had a grandchild herself. She also adds that she has been out of work for more than two months and is going to step down as chairman and dean and possibly work on another book. Taylor was dean of the English Department and Dean of Students at an independent school for girls.
