Signed presentation from Savage on the front endpaper: "For Margaret & Noel- Because the really hard work on this book (i.e. revising) was happily done in your upstairs witch-haven. Love, Mary Savage. 3/19/63." The small address label of Mrs. Mercedes H. Perez of Santa Barbara is on the front pastedown. On the rear panel of the dust jacket is states that this novel was written while the author and her husband were living in Santa Barbara- so Mrs. Perez's house may be that location.
