The book is the story of his seeing-eye dog, Almo, a former police dog that became a seeing-eye dog and rescued him from a hotel fire, much to national media attention. A unique, illustrated look at the training of seeing-eye dogs at the time. Signed and inscribed by Christensen ("Sincerely") on a front blank page. Also with the pencil name of Gertrude Poole on the front & rear endpapers. Very good (some rubbing covers, contents clean & tight). Scarce to find a signed copy. $175.00.
