Harold became pastor of the Catholic Church in the Niagara Peninsula, Canada, in 1879. He remained there, off and on, until 1890. He was an accomplished classical scholar, with some noted literary ability. This appears to be his only novel. Signed presentation by Rev. Harold on the front endpaper: "No.60. To Rev.
