Wonderful signed presentation from all four Lennon Sisters on the front endpaper, to the wife of famous showman Jimmy Durante: "June '85. Kathy/ Janet/ Dee Dee/ Peggy." [Not sure which sister wrote the presentation- but I'm guessing Janet]. Margaret "Margie" Durante [1919-2009] was the second wife of one of the most popular showmen of the 20th Century, Jimmy Durante [1893-1980]. Durante's last television appearance was co-starring with the Lennon Sisters on the "Jimmy Durante Presents The Lennon Sisters Hour," which lasted for one season (1969-1970) on ABC. Born in Scotch Plains, NJ, Marge was crowned the Queen of the New Jersey State Fair and met Durante while working at the famous Copacabana in New York City. They married in 1960 and adopted their daughter Cecilia Alicia (CeCe) on Christmas Day, 1961. CeCe went on to become a champion horsewoman.
