This copy is inscribed by future model and actress Norma Eberhardt as a teenager: "Norma Mae Eberhardt, This book was given to me by my Daddy, 1945." Eberhardt [1929-2011] began her career as a fashion model and then as an actress. She grew up in Oakhurst, NJ and was discovered by fashion photographer, who noticed her distinctive feature of having one brown eye and one blue eye, during the annual Easter Parade in Asbury Park right around the time this book was inscribed by her. She co-starred in "Live Fast, Die Young" and dated actor James Dean and comedian Jerry Lewis, eventually marrying French actor Claude Dauphin. An interesting association copy!
