An important association copy, inscribed to Scribner's magazine editor Robert Bridges. Signed presentation by Wilkinson on front endpaper: "For Mr. [Robert] Bridges, with all kind regards from Marguerite Wilkinson. March 17, 1922. This is the first copy of the first edition." On the acknowledgment page Wilkinson states: "My most cordial thanks for permission to reprint this material in this book are due to The Editor of Scribner's Magazine, who first gave most of it to the public."
