With the stamped name of well-known magician John Mulhooland stamped on the front endpaper date. Also with an autograph letter signed from Butler, to Mulholland, laid in and dated January 7, 1935. Butler writes [in part] "I wish you could draw a new pair of legs out of a hat for me. This pair I have continues to be just simply bum, and my dear old diabetes hangs on..." He continues that he will not be President of the Author's Club anymore due to his illness "I think I am improving but time-the old tattle-tale- will tell." Good (red stain on front cover). $75.00.
