Jacobs, a Presbyterian minister, was president of Atlanta's Oglethorpe University and refounded the school after it was closed during the Civil War. In this book, Jacobs tries to reconcile scientific and religious thought and doctrine. Signed presentation from Jacobs on a front blank page: "To Miss Fiala and Prince Dorshon, wishing you a long, lovely journey, Thornwell Jacobs. June 18th 1955." A scarce book, especially when signed by the author! Very Good (bright, numerous ink notations in text with some pages once dog-earred). $85.00.
