Peter Deyneka, Jr. March 17, 1980." Rep. Buchanan was a member of the Foreign Affairs Committee where he fought for the rights of people behind the Iron Curtain. He also served on the United Nations Human Rights Committee. The Deyneka's were missionaries with the Slavic Gospel Association.
