Signed presentation from Byard on a front blank page: "To Constance [Deeming?] Lewis, Who joins me in telling of the long, long [[illegible word] in a word... Dorothy Randolph Byard, Silvermine, 1937." A very scarce book of poetry. Byard was a member of the Randolph family of Philadelphia, who were instrumental in founding Princeton University. She studied at the Academie Julien in Paris and lived in the Silvermine section of Norwalk, Connecticut. She was a member of the Silvermine Group of Artists and later the Silvermine Art Guild. With a great Art-Deco illustration on the front cover of the dust jacket by Major Felten- an American visual artist and illustrator, who also lived in Connecticut. 12mo., green cloth, stamped in gilt, in dust jacket; 58 pages.
