Books signed by Mennicke are scarce! Johann Adolph Hasse (1699 – 1783) was an 18th-century German composer, singer and teacher of music. Immensely popular in his time, Hasse was best known for his prolific operatic output, though he also composed a considerable quantity of sacred music. Carl Heinrich Graun (1704–1759) was a German composer and tenor. Along with Johann Adolph Hasse, he is considered to be the most important German composer of Italian opera of his time. Johann Gottlieb Graun (1703–1771) was a German Baroque/Classical era composer and violinist. Carl (Karl) Mennicke (1880-1917) was a German musicologist, musician and conductor.
