St. Patrick’s Day, 1950.” Decker Press was a publishing company located in the small mid-western town of Prairie City, Illinois. The small press received national attention in the 1940s, when it published works written by noted authors such as Edgar Lee Masters, August Derleth, Hubert Creekmore, William Everson, Kenneth Patchen, Kenneth Rexroth and Louis Zukofsky.
