Davison, dated April 1925: “Dr. Harris gave the Missionary lectures for the year 1924-25 from March 27th to April 2= Colgate Seminary men appreciate the wonderful knowledge passed on to them as the result & fruitage of over 30 years of loving service among the Lord’s people, the Karens.” Also, with a few notes on the rear endpaper. “A Star in the East” is an account of American Baptist missions to the Karens of Burma, There are perhaps a thousand or more Karen villages in Burma, Harris’s father founded the Shwegyin Karen Mission and this book is dedicated to him. An interesting and uncommon book, especially signed by the author. 12mo., gray clotj, stamped in black; 223 pages. Item #57686
